in the 75th anniversary issue of the Townsman there are many, many articles on the town's history. this makes sense, because no one knows it. and the articles behave pedagogically, because they know they are already the link between the present and 30 years before. funny how early this effect started, eh? gets one to thinking this is is a root of ( Read more... )

we map our histories in creative work to eliminate coincidence. or perhaps to empower it.

also, sorry i've been distant. it's literal, finally. if you've seen me this week, or last, you know why i can't handle the basic responsiblities of modern life. back on the wagon by Tuesday morning, f'real.

the deeper i get into my notes the more i need something that will let me cross-reference my notes, and by cross-referencing, i mean allow me to consider the various categories that certain facts fit in, because there's rarely only one. using individual text documents hasn't been working.
